DAWSON, Stella Louise Anne (née Turner)

- Suddenly at the P.R.H.C. on Friday, July 11, 2014, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of Charles for 69 years. Dear mother of Peter (Lucy), Michael, John, Anne (Norman Seli) and Mary (James McGarrity). Cherished grandmother of Matthew, Michael, Charlotte, Paul, Anne and Katie. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Rose Turner, and by her brother Stanley. A longtime member of the Catholic Women's League and former diocesan President, Stella also served for several years on the Board of Directors of Marycrest. She loved to sing, and was actively involved with the Golden Tones for many years. An avid gardener and friend to all creatures great and small, she never turned a stray dog or cat away from her home in the country.

Visitation will be held at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South, Peterborough, Ontario from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the CHURCH OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, 386 Rogers Street, Peterborough, on Tuesday, July 15, at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery.
