McGIFFEN, Stuart (Stu) Hamilton

- passed away quietly at his home on December 27, 2014 in the presence of his loving family. Stuart is predeceased by his dear wife of 62 years Laura and leaves his son Stuart (Kathy), his daughters Connie (Joseph), Carol (Steve), Gloria (Brad), and Jackie (Ric), his grandchildren Chris, John, Luke, Jamie, Khalin, Kathryn, Conor, David, Jocelyn, and Adam; and his great-grandchildren Ethan, Zachary, Lily, Clover, Anna, Arianna, Joseph, Jayden. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a proud WWII veteran. We are consoled that Stuart enjoyed a long and happy life filled with the joy of family, friends and his greatest pastime - fishing.

Funeral services will be held at Duffus Funeral Home on December 31, 2014 at 1:00 pm, located at 431 George Street South, Peterborough ON. A public visitation will be held prior to the service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion.
