DWYER, Veronica Ann of Peterborough (retired long-time employee of Scotiabank)

Passed away peacefully in her 77th year, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Beloved daughter of the late Daniel Dwyer and Mary (Minnie) McCarthy. Dear sister of Lucille Ayotte and sister-in-law of Margaret Dwyer. Predeceased by her sister Jean Moloney (Victor), brother Bernard and brother-in-law Ray Ayotte. Aunt Veronie will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews:  Larry (pre-deceased), Diane (Jim), Sharon (Gary), Robert and Krista; Dan (Ginny), Teresa (pre-deceased) and Janet; Gary (Diane), Debbie and Denise (Rob).  She will be missed by her great nieces and nephews: Sheila (Jamie), Keeley, Mick and Jessica; Maddy, Sean, Brad and Robyn; Katie (Sam), Paul and Harry and her great-great niece and nephews: Lucy, Theo and Bryce. Veronica's greatest joy was spending time with family and she played an active role in their lives.  She was often seen walking throughout the city and enjoyed more than the occasional stop for a coffee break. She was a dedicated church volunteer.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018.  (Parish Prayers 5:45 p.m. Friday). Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Damien Smullen at the CHURCH OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11 a.m.  Reception to follow in the church hall.  Interment following the reception at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Douro.
