Passed away peacefully at Sunnycrest Nursing Home, Whitby on Friday, September 28, 2018 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Sophia (Fia) Verkruisen (nee Stoepker) for 61 years. Loving father of Martinus Verkruisen and wife Phyllis of Peterborough and Richard Verkruisen and wife Debbie of Pontypool. Dear grandfather of Kaylee, Mason, Jade, Jessica and Chad. Dear brother of Johannes (Hans) Verkruisen of Port Elgin.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 12 noon – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018  followed by a Celebration of Bill's life in the DUFFUS CHAPEL on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment Keene Cemetery Upper. Reception to follow in Keene United Church Fellowship Hall. In memory of Bill, donations to the Hospital for Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
