Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, July 29, 2012 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of the late Beryl O'Brien (nee Ferren). Loving father of Joanne Pirie, Paul O'Brien (Lynn), Lisa Nowee (Rick), Steven O'Brien (Michelle). Dear grandfather of Teresa, Sara, Jordan, Scott, Shelby, Dawson and Sydney. Dear great grandfather of Shean, Caleigh and Darius. Dear brother of Phyllis Hayton of Peterborough, brother-in-law of Helen O'Brien of Belleville, Claude, Heather and Glenda and uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bill was an avid gardener who loved to shre his harvest with his family and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Dan O'Brien and Evelyn Fitzgibbon and brother Frank O'Brien, sister Betty McGrath (Art),brother-in-law Doug Hayton, and sister-in-law Beverley.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass in IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
