COLLINS William Theodore (Ted) (Retired Police Officer (Peterborough and Lakefield)

Ted passed away suddenly at home on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the age of 78. Pre-deceased by his wife Carm (Dion). Survived by his children Brian, Steve and his wife Susan, Debbie, Donna and her husband Tony Van den Broek, Mike and his wife Cathy and Deb and her husband Ian Robertson. Ted will be missed by his eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Survived by his sisters Eileen Chesson, Betty Burgess and Joan Walsh. Pre-deceased by his parents Lawrence Collins and Dorothy Byrne, brothers John, Jim, Tom, Leo (Bud), sisters Mary, Kathleen Allen, Patricia Haig and Estelle Shaughnessy. He will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews especially Larry, Robert, Kenny and Lorna. Ted was born in Kinmount and loved spending time at the hunt camp he built on the family property, hunting in the Fall and making maple syrup in the Spring. We will miss you Dad.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. (Parish Prayers 6:30 p.m. Tuesday). Funeral Mass in St. Anne's Church on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 2 p.m. Reverend William Moloney officiating. Spring Interment Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery, Young's Point.
