COURNEYA, William (Bill) (Retired Customs Supervisor with the Outboard Marine Corporation)

Peacefully at St. Joseph's at Fleming on Friday, April 24, 2009 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Smith. Loving father of Susan Banhegyesi and Terry and wife Shelley. Dear grandfather of Carla, Matthew and Kaleigh. Dear brother of Edward of Peterborough, Cecil of Toronto, Marcella Sowerby of B.C, Alma Pink, and Neil of Peterborough. Dear brother-in-law of Doris Courneya. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents Felix and Matilda Courneya (Brioux), and sisters Genevieve Brooks and Evelyn Kearns, and brothers Aleric, Jack, Roy, Gord, Gerald and Kenneth Courneya.

At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Anne's Church on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. Reverend William Moloney officiating. Interment Highland Park Cemetery. Donations to St. Joseph's at Fleming or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
