STRANO, William John (Bill) (Former Longtime Co-owner of Strano Foods and Farmboy Market)

Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Barbara Kane (nee Walsh) and the late Corinne Hanrahan d. April 22, 2003. Loving father of Lawrence Strano, Jane and husband Dan Allcock, James Strano and partner Karen Ayotte; Michael Strano predeceased.  Dear grandfather of Melody Belfry and husband Chad, Alan Allcock and wife Adela Wan, Christie Allcock, Norma Jean, Jamie Lee and Autumn; Scott Ayotte predeceased. Dear great grandfather of Meadow, Henry and Violet. Dear brother of John Strano and wife Helen and dear brother-in-law of Hugh Knox, Jean Strano and Paul Labonte. Dear stepfather of Iain Kane and partner Lori, Scott Kane (late Bobby), James Kane and partner Karen and grandchildren Cara, Cory, Stacey, Abby and James. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Biasi Rosario Strano and Anna Cecilia Asta, and brothers Frank (Marie), Vincent, Paul (Gayle) and Ormond and sisters Helen and Betty. Special Thanks to Dr. Natalie Whiting and the amazing staff of D2, Palliative Care at PRHC for their wonderful care of Bill during his stay there.

Visitation at DUFFUS FUNERAL HOME, 431 George Street South from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2018. (Parish Prayers 3:45 p.m. Sunday). Funeral Mass at ST.
