LABA, (Wladyslaw) Walter (Retired Canadian General Electric Employee and Member of the Polish Combatants Association) Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Thursday, April 12, 2012 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Anna Laba (Serafin) (September 8, 1993). Loving father of Richard (Joyce) of Peterborough, Stanislaus (Elverina) of Saskatoon, and Michele Fitzgerald (Clark Doughty) of Peterborough. Dear grandfather of Andrew (Amanda), April, Paul and Corianna. Dear great grandfather of Owen. Dear uncle of Sophia and Jane Krol of Peterborough, Janina (Horatio) Janartne of Belleville and Annia Klein (Zbyszek Wesolowski) of Peterborough. Pre-deceased by a brother Andrew and a sister Kathleen. Walter was a proud World War II Veteran, supporting his people and country valiantly. He was a generous and loving father, and a wonderful role model for his family. He loved his garden, and spent many happy hours there. He always had a kind word and a helping hand for friends in need, and for this many are grateful.
